Conceptual exploration of a music application
Objective Conceptualising and designing a music app that challenges people to a focused listening experience.
Context This app makes listeners pick 5 albums every month to listen to. This makes the listener focus and really dig deep into an album and the songs. Also, it makes them connect music to a certain period in their lives.
Users The target audience is millennials, with an interest in music. Before sketching I dug deep into usability heuristics and principles of design. I reviewed other (music) applications and took out some best practices. I later elaborated on the design, made sure every element is aligned to a grid, and established a visual hierarchy.
